1. Introduction

Welcome to NoterBot! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NoterBot Discord bot ("the Bot"). By adding the Bot to your Discord server or otherwise using the Bot, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Bot.

2. Description of Service

NoterBot is a Discord bot designed to help users take and manage notes within their Discord servers. The Bot allows users to create, view, edit, and delete notes, which are stored securely.

3. User Responsibilities and Conduct

• Content: You are solely responsible for the content of your notes. You agree not to use the Bot to create, store, or share any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Prohibited Use: You agree not to use the Bot in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Bot's service or interfere with any other user's use of the Bot. This includes, but is not limited to, spamming commands, attempting to exploit vulnerabilities, or using the Bot for any malicious purpose.
• Compliance with Discord: You must comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using NoterBot.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Note Data: Your notes are stored securely in a database. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
• No Personal Information: NoterBot does not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) from users, other than their Discord user ID and the server ID where the notes are created. This is strictly for the purpose of associating notes with the correct user and server.
• Backups: Data backups may be performed periodically to prevent data loss.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Bot's reliability, accuracy, or availability. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Bot.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Bot after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the Bot at any time, for any reason, without notice.
